PRP report (6-15)

* It was the first appearance for four freshmen: LB Levi Jones, RB Stephen Carr and safeties Isaiah Pola-Mao and Bubba Bolden. Jones took reps with the first defense at will linebacker, and Carr got several touches as well. Carr also had a dropped pass, and another pass reception where he slipped while trying to make a move, and both plays drew good-natured jeers from his teammates. Pola-Mao and Bolden worked as the 2nd unit safeties and were getting a lot of instruction from Chris Hawkins between plays.

* There was a lot of shuffling along the offensive line. The first group had Toa at LT, Brown at LG, Nico at center, Jordan Austin at RG and Chuma at RT. At various other times in the day we saw Clayton Johnston at LT, Toa and Cole Smith at center, Frank Martin and Jacob Daniel at RG, and Nico and Andrew Vorhees at RT. It was the first time we have seen Daniel on offense.

* Josh Fatu and Kenny Bigelow both took reps with the 1’s at nose, Marlon Tuipulotu was with the 2’s.

* Starting corners were Iman Marshall and Isaiah Langley, with Jackie Jones and Jamel Cook as the 2nd unit.

* Jackie Jones also saw a bunch of reps on offense and made some plays, he had a couple nice runs-after-catch after short routes.

* Deontay Burnett had a diving catch early in the day from Sam Darnold and a deep ball later in the day from Sam. Jalen Greene went up high to make a catch coming across the middle.

* 6-3 Jamel Cook did a cartwheel coming off the field after one play.

* Ajene Harris had a pass break-up against Burnett.
